Location & Arrival

Heidkate is a natural recreation area in Schleswig-Holstein directly at the Baltic Sea beach at the Kieler Außenförde. Heidkate is a district of Wisch and is situated between Laboe and the Schönberger beach, surrounded by salt marshes and forests, in the midst of nature. Kiel is only 20 minutes by car and is perfect for a stroll. The nearest railway station is also in Kiel.

Arrival by car

from the north:

A7, exit Rendsburg/Kiel, A210 direction Kiel, A 215, exit B76 direction Lübeck, B76, exit Ostufer, Ostring exit Laboe/Schönberg. Continue on the B502 to Wisch, exit at the Krokauer Mühle, then take the next right and continue straight on over the intersection into Mittelweg.

from the south:

A7 direction Flensburg, exit Blumenthal on A215, exit B76 direction Lübeck, B76, exit Ostufer, Ostring exit Laboe/Schönberg. Continue on the B502 to Wisch, exit at Krokauer Mühle, then take the next right and continue straight ahead across the intersection into Mittelweg.

Arrival by public transport:

To Kiel main station by train, then take the bus to Wisch or Schönberg. The rest (approx. 3 km) can be done by taxi or alternatively completely from Kiel by taxi (from Kiel approx. 60 € taxi costs – without guarantee -).

The journey with own car is recommendable, since Heidkate is not to be attained with public means of transport.
